What is systemic family constellation
Systemic constellation work is a compassionate inquiry into dynamics and factors that might affect our current life. This modality works through the energetic blocks and dynamics that are present in the family and farther back in the ancestral lines.
The practice supports us to learn how to use our bodies as instruments of perception. As we allow our senses — somatic, felt-sense, hearing, seeing, and others — to expand, we enter into a relationship with the less-visible we tap into our inherent capacities as human beings to pick up signals as information from the field. Often we can uncover hidden dynamics which might hold us back from connection to our true self and our unique power.
We can looks at traumas, breakages, mishaps and exclusions and aims to bring restoration, harmony or at least neutrality to a once turbulent family systems. This method aims to acknowledge history that hasn't been acknowledged, process emotion that is ready to come out and help the participant to build greater understanding of where they came from.
We work on one participant's family at a time, through the lens of an issue they're currently working on. Using the power of group witnessing and understanding of the morphic field of resonance, we begin to understand issues through the wider/ more holistic lens of the family setting. This brings understanding of why we are the way we are, and the context of where we came from.
Systemic family constellation work is different from psycho-drama as we work with orders of love and a morphogenetic field to encourage the move of energy.
'Moving the energy' might mean a number of things, for example- voicing acknowledgement for wrongdoing, restoring the flow of love/ energy in the nuclear family unit, gaining perspective on the wider cause and effect turn of events in the field.
Systemic constellations can be a meaningful approach to support conflict resolution and healing processes. The approach allows us to surface the hidden, forgotten, denied, or wounded parts that may not be immediately visible when we deal with a specific challenge, struggle, or issue. By creating an intentional space and daring to dive deep into the root causes of a specific symptom, the energy that was used to keep things in the shadows starts to be released and becomes available as supportive energy for the whole.
